Jesus, Why did you curse the fig tree? Mark 11:12-14,20-23
The power of casual talk. There is nothing "casual" about talking.
If we were to visit the crime scene so to spead, we would see
an everyday normal setting.
Jesus and the disciples are casually walking along and Jesus sees a fig tree.
He thought possibly it may have fruit on it, but it didn't and Jesus' response was
"No one eat fruit of thee from this day forward."
One would think, "Well, that's no biggie". And maybe we could casually forget
about the whole episode except for one thing.....the return trip.
We see Jesus and the disciples returning from their journey, taking the same path.
One of them took notice of the fig tree that Jesus had spoke to the day before.
He said, "Master, the fig tree that you cursed the other day is dried up from the root."
Jesus' reply (in a paraphrased version) "Do you think this is something? Let me tell
you. Whoever speaks to a mountain and tells it to go jump in the lake and you really believe what you say shall come about, you'll have it.
Remember, this is casual talk.
How did this happen? This answer is right under your nose.
Life and death are in the tongue. There is no such thing as casual talk.
It will either carry life or it will carry death.
Jesus said every idle word would be judged. Matt. 12:36
What are you releasing out of your mouth? Are you ministering life to those who hear you or are you speaking death?
Life talk or death talk. Fresh water or salt water. Light or darkenss. Good fruit or corrupt and rotten fruit.
WHAT IS COMING OUT OF YOUR MOUTH????
Please remember, what you sow, you will eventually reap and eat.
Life and death are in the power of the tongue and those that love it (life or death)
will eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 18:21
Jesus, why did you curse that fig tree? i believe Jesus cursed the fig tree to illustrate to all of
us "casual talkers" just how powerful caual talk really is.
Lord, today, put a watch over my mouth and keep the door of my lips lest I open it wide and stick my foot in it. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, Oh Lord my strength and my redeemer. Amen

A HEALTHY CELL
Let all bitterness and anger and wrath and tumult and evil speaking be put away from you
along with all evil things. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, having forgiven
one another even as also God forgave you in Christ.
If we were to go into a science lab and look at a cancer cell under a microscope,
we would see there is a deformity in the cell, an abnormality. Another characteristic of a cancer
cell is that it turns against the other cells around it and starts to destroy them.
So often, we forget who we really are or possibly we never had a true revealation of the fact that we are all part of ONE BODY, the "Body of Christ". I am Jesus' body. We are all CELLS in this ONE BODY
called the body of Christ.
In the natural, a healthy body has all its organs, tissues and cells working in harmony.
PRoblems arise when our cells get out of harmony with each other and it grows and spreads
from one cell to another developing into possibly a cancer.
And just think, it all started with one single cell becoming abnormal,holding toxins
within it, getting bent out of shape.
The same is true with the body of Christ. A single cell begins to hold bitterness, anger,
resentment toward another brother or sister (CELL). Before long, they spread
their discontent to other brothers and sisters (CELLS) and next thing
you know, there is a cancer growing.
It's time to get the old stethoscope out and give your heart a check-up.
It's time for a spiritual physical.
Are you being a cancer cell in the body of Christ that is bent out of shape, spreading
toxins and poisons or are you a healthy cell, spreading the life and love of God.
IT'S TIME TO GET HEALTHY!!!
Let all bitterness and anger and wrath and tumult and evil speaking be put away from you,
along with all evil things. And be kind to one another, tenerhearted, having forgen on another
even as also God forgave you in Christ.
Father, Search my heart. Put me through your Holy Ghost scanner
and see if there by anything within me that can cause sickness
or dis-ease in the body of Christ.
I choose to forgive________ who offended or hurt me or hurt someone I care about
and by faith, I decree, I will walk in love toward them.
Please forgive me for holding these toxins within me which are harmful to
YOUR BODY.
Wash me and cleanse me from these poisons with the blood of Jesus.
Thank you Lord, flor cleansing me of all unrighteousness and
making me a useful member (CELL) in the body of Christ that sows love and life.
